Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How much does it cost?

A: We charge $4 per "imaging" as a service. Each time you install to a unique computer, your satellite server will update our "core" server's records. The total is billed at the end of each month.

Q: Why is it $4?

A: We want high volume and many customers. In our initial customers' estimates this process saves them over 3 hours of tech time. You and your technicians can work on more lucrative and interesting problems. The old days of these time consuming tasks are gone: backing up user data, re-install from scratch, finding drivers, activating windows, and restoring user data.

Q: Why shouldn't we just use Ghost?

A: We, internally, use a tool very similar to Ghost, but we do much more. Check the Features.

Q: Does it only work with Windows XP?

A: Currently, Windows XP is the only operating system supported. We are working on Windows 7 support. Vista may also be supported in the future.

Q: We are a non-profit recycler, can we get a discount?

A: Yes, we would be happy to talk with you about your organization and what you can afford.

Q: We are a large institution with high security and limited access to the Internet, can we use your product for a yearly price?

A: Yes, we can provide quotes on this type of subscription.

Q: What if I want to test it? Does it cost?

A: We would be happy to give you a free trial offer.

Q: What is the hardest part?

A: Creating your own Windows images is the most time consuming part. If you are familiar with sysprep, that would be very helpful in creating SysPrepImages.

Q: How long does it take?

A: Without the optional backup, our fastest Smart Imaging is 3 minutes 21 seconds. This includes custom driver installation and OEM CD emulation for activation. When done the target machine had Service Pack 3 with all updates, OpenOffice? 3.2, Microsoft Security Essentials, Java, Flash, Firefox, Thunderbird, MalwareBytes?, and Avast home-edition. This first Windows boot (Out Of Box Experience) took over 6 minutes.
